WANDSWORTH FOODBANK

Across the UK, 14.1 million people – including 3.8 million children – face hunger. One in six households are going without food because they can’t afford it. Locally in Wandsworth, 33% of children are growing up in poverty (Source: Trust for London).

Wandsworth Foodbank provides emergency food and toiletries, support and advice to local people and families referred to us in hardship across Wandsworth Borough. We're part of the Trussell national community of local food banks.

During 2025, we provided 13,054 emergency food parcels to local people and families – and 63% of parcels went to households with children. We supported 2,430 individual households at least once.

When local people are referred to Wandsworth Foodbank, most visit one of our six food bank welcome centres in churches and community centres across the borough. However we also provide home delivery to people referred to us who can’t get to our centres because of disability or ill-health, which is about one in five households referred.

None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of people in our local community who give food, money and time to provide food, support and hope to local people and families in hardship. We have an amazing team of more than 350 volunteers, for whom we’re so grateful.
