SPEAR CLAPHAM JUNCTION

Picture
Spear’s free,  six week employment training programme addresses the issues that often stop young people succeeding in the workplace, including:

  •     Attitude and motivation
  •     Life skills for the work place
  •     Job search skills
  •     Interview training
Young people come to the Spear course from local job centres, housing associations and local community organisations.  If you want to find out more about joining a Spear course, please click here.

With 75% of our graduates in work or training a year later, the Spear course has been highly commended for its effectiveness and cost-efficiency by Impetus Trust.

Spear Clapham Junction is a partnership between Junction Community Trust and Resurgo

COULD YOU VOLUNTEER?

Spear volunteers are a vital part of helping young people transform their lives and move closer to finding employment.
SUPPORT A SPEAR GRADUATION
At the end of every course, we hold a graduation ceremony where you will be able to meet our students and help their friends and family to celebrate their achievements. You could also help us run the event.

VOLUNTEER AS AN INTERVIEWER
Take a team-building opportunity and bring your team or come as an individual to come and prepare a group of students for interview. Practice interviews enable our students to build their confidence and practise the new skills they have been developing.

HOST A COMPANY VISIT
Give a class of students the invaluable opportunity to experience an office environment, often for the first time, by hosting a visit to your company.

PROVIDE JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Why not offer work to a Spear student?
SpearHead is the recruitment arm of the charity and partners with businesses to carefully select the right Spear student for your employment needs.
